WiFi in the french post offices

To meet the ongoing connectivity needs of its customers and visitors, the French postal service -La Poste- will offer free Internet access within its post offices network. By the end of 2016, La Poste aims to enable customer WiFi in more than 750 offices.

Enhance its network attractiveness

Still 20% of French households do not have access to the Internet. This motivated La Poste to offer its customers and visitors a free Wi-Fi connection in order to ensure access to digital services to most.

By the end of 2016, 750 Wi-Fi hotspots will be up and running, 200 of them will have been deployed during the first semester. La Poste has already provided its tellers with custom-made smartphones in order to enhance the retail experience provided to its customers in the post offices. Providing free Wi-Fi to its visitors is a step forward in the digital transformation strategy undertaken by Le Groupe La Poste.

This free Internet access will allow customers and visitors to remain connected while visiting the post office. This new service enhances La Poste’s network attractiveness and strengthens the relationship it has with its customers, especially with young people and professionals.

Toward a more customized client relationship management

Thanks to Wi-Fi, La Poste will be able to offer its customers a privileged access to its services, with in the end, a more customized easy and fluid customer journey whether physical (retail space), digital (on the website laposte.fr), or multi-channel (starting online and ending in a post office and vice versa). Besides, customers and visitors will be able to give their feedback on the customer experience provided by La Poste directly on the service portal associated to the landing page.

An easy and secured access provided by Wifirst
