After 13 years with the Bolloré Group, Wifirst chooses Amundi Private Equity and Bpifrance to accelerate growth
Amundi Private Equity Funds (Amundi PEF) has joined forces with Bpifrance, Socadif Capital Investissement and the management of Wifirst to acquire 100% of the capital of Wifirst from the Bolloré Group.
Supported by the Bolloré Group since 2006, Wifirst has achieved average annual growth of over 30% over the last thirteen years, and has become the French leader in managed WiFi for professionals.
With the support of Amundi PEF, Bpifrance and Socadif Capital Investissement, the management team headed by Marc Taieb has decided to initiate a new phase in Wifirst's history, with an ambitious development project based on :
- the development of its infrastructure, in France and internationally, in all sectors of activity (residences, hospitality, tourism, healthcare, retail, etc.) ;
- constant innovation to offer a robust network capable of absorbing the exponential rise in Internet usage;
- the development of value-added services to help customers implement their digital transformation;
- implement external growth operations in France and abroad.
Closing of the transaction is scheduled for early October 2019.
Wifirst's management team would like to thank the Bolloré Group, the new investors, its teams and, of course, its customers for their confidence, which will enable the company to maintain its momentum of growth and innovation.
