Green IT: concrete solutions for businesses

At Wifirst, we recognise our responsibility to lead the way in digital sustainability. Our approach is designed to minimise environmental impact, and we deliver practical solutions to help you address your carbon reduction goals.
Network time

A virtuous "network as a service" model

Our networks last longer.

We provide connectivity as a service for businesses committed to successful and sustainable digital transformation. As a service provider—not a hardware seller—we are dedicated to maximising the lifespan of every device we manage and operate. Our approach actively reduces unnecessary equipment consumption and combats planned obsolescence.

Carbon footprint

Reduced carbon footprint with a unified network

We connect all your services on a single infrastructure.

Eliminate the complexity of layered network infrastructure in your data centers. With Wifirst, you benefit from a single, streamlined network that seamlessly connects all your business and customer endpoints. This means fewer devices, lower deployment and operating costs, and reduced energy consumption.

Refurbished equipment? A smart, sustainable choice

The most sustainable choice is to avoid new production altogether. That’s why we provide refurbished WiFi solutions.

Staying true to our commitment to service quality, we carefully manage the resources we use. Professional-grade equipment from previous generations—such as WiFi access points and switches—continues to meet our high standards for reliable connectivity. We maintain a stock of reconditioned devices, primarily sourced from infrastructure upgrades, and take pride in giving them a second life with new clients.

Reduced energy costs

Wifirst actively monitors the energy consumption of over 300,000 connected devices to minimise environmental impact. We have already achieved significant energy savings through these measures:

    1. Upgrading to new Wibox servers has reduced energy use from 250 watts to 30 watts per server, with further savings expected as we explore passive operation modes.
    2. We deploy next-generation WiFi access points that cut energy consumption from 13 watts to just 5 watts per unit.
    3. We have also virtualised Natbox functionalities within the Wibox, minimising the hardware required and lowering overall energy use.
"Excellent experience with Wifirst, whose teams were very professional at every stage of the project. Bravo for the idea of using reconditioned equipment, which, beyond the undeniable financial benefits, is really in line with the desire for ecological frugality promoted by Yes We Camp."
