A reinvented TV experience at the Crowne Plaza Montpellier Corum
Located in the heart of Montpellier, opposite the Corum conference centre and a 10-minute walk from the opera house, the Crowne Plaza Montpellier Corum is a modern 4-star hotel with 144 rooms and suites, as well as five meeting rooms covering an area of 500 m².

An ambitious refurbishment for cutting-edge connectivity
As part of its renovation in 2019, the Crowne Plaza Montpellier Corum wanted to review and enhance the in-room customer experience around TV. The hotel entrusted Wifirst with the deployment and management of a solution combining professional fibre optics, WiFi, IPTV and Chromecast. 155 Samsung 43-inch Smart TVs and 149 Chromecasts were installed, much to the delight of guests.

A renewed customer experience centred on in-room services
The TV portal solution implemented by Wifirst allows guests to be welcomed to their rooms with an intuitive and interactive interface, in line with the hotel's branding:
Room DirectoryThe hotel has chosen to digitise the directory containing all useful information for guests. A simple click on the Room Directory menu allows you to browse all the services provided by the hotel. Private WiFi in the room
Customers can replicate a 'home-like' connection experience by connecting to their room's private WiFi using the QR code displayed on the screen. ChromecastOur Chromecast solution is the only 100% secure solution on the market because it is based on our Room Area Network technology. Customers can cast their content from their smartphones with complete peace of mind. |

// PERFORMANCE ISSUES
New services tailored to travellers' expectations
True to the "as a service" approach of all our connected solutions, we can monitor the use of TV and Chromecast services and thus understand how travellers use them. During the high season in July/August, we count up to 30 separate Chromecasts used every day, and unsurprisingly, the streaming giants are among the top five most used applications. Live TV channels are not to be outdone. On average, 77 hours of TV are "consumed" each month. This is still an essential service in the hotel industry.

“Thanks to our network expertise, we can seamlessly integrate our WiFi, Chromecast and TV services to provide a complete connected experience in the room, freeing hoteliers from having to manage their TV fleet.”
