In a venue as dynamic as Olympia, network demands peak during concerts and high-attendance events. Over 2,000 simultaneous connections have to be managed without compromising network speed or stability. Visitors expect seamless connectivity to share live moments, access artist information, and use digital services like contactless ticketing and payments. Technical teams and artists depend on reliable connectivity to operate digital stage equipment, manage backstage workflows, and deliver flawless performances.
Fast, stable WiFi access for all
To deliver reliable, high-capacity performance, Wifirst designed a robust network architecture for Olympia. The LAN backbone leverages high-performance switches and dedicated fibre links, ensuring low latency and maximum resilience. WiFi 7 access points, precisely positioned for optimal coverage and tailored to usage patterns, enable strong, consistent connectivity across all frequencies (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz). This design minimises interference and maintains stable performance, even during peak audience demand.
Smart traffic management for uninterrupted connectivity
By thoroughly analysing network traffic, Wifirst has deployed intelligent traffic management to deliver the highest quality of service for every application. Bandwidth-intensive uses like video streaming and cloud synchronisation are prioritised according to business requirements, while essential services—such as web browsing, messaging, and collaboration tools—benefit from secure resource allocation. The advanced 5 GHz infrastructure provides efficient load balancing, preventing congestion and maintaining smooth connectivity, even during peak times.
Distribution of Internet usage
Network segmentation by VLANs reinforces security and isolation of strategic flows, while 24/7 supervision guarantees immediate reactivity in the event of an anomaly. Deploying a WiFi solution at an iconic venue like L'Olympia presents major logistical and technical constraints. To avoid interrupting Olympia’s ongoing activities, Wifirst carefully planned each phase—from coverage assessments to rapid, seamless deployment—ensuring the venue operated smoothly throughout the project.
Seamless, secure rollout
All equipment was replaced outside of regular hours to avoid disrupting Olympia’s activities. Once installed, the WiFi network was precisely calibrated for optimal coverage, followed by rigorous load and performance testing to ensure reliability and stability under real-world conditions.

Network administration is centralised through the Wifirst Centre platform, providing efficient management and proactive monitoring.
