Managed Connectivity Across a Multi-Brand, Multi-Site Portfolio
Overview
Aimbridge Hospitality is the world's largest third-party hotel management company, operating over 1,500 properties across 23 countries. Its EMEA division manages a 15,000-room portfolio across the UK, Ireland, and Europe — spanning branded Accor flagships, franchise properties, and characterful independents.

To deliver consistent, high-quality guest experiences across a diverse portfolio, Aimbridge EMEA needs technology partners who can adapt to each property while upholding group standards. Wifirst provides this managed connectivity for multiple UK hotels, including the 412-room TRIBE Manchester Airport and the 126-room The View Hotel Eastbourne, with its rooftop terrace, Artisan Restaurant, and seven event spaces for up to 150 delegates—ensuring seamless, reliable WiFi that works invisibly for every guest.
THE CHALLENGE // Two Very Different Properties, One Consistent Expectation
Managing connectivity for a multi-brand portfolio means solving fundamentally different problems to the same standard. At TRIBE Manchester Airport, the challenge was technical complexity at scale. A 412-room new-build across eight floors, the hotel features a unique irregular trapezoid footprint designed to optimise floor space and energy efficiency — creating a demanding layout for network deployment with zero tolerance for dead zones. The infrastructure needed to meet Accor's rigorous global brand standards for wall-to-wall coverage, support Voice over WiFi for both staff and international guests, and integrate seamlessly with intelligent building management systems powering the hotel's sustainability ambitions.

At The View Hotel Eastbourne, the challenge was different in character but no less demanding. A large independent property serving a broad mix of leisure guests, families, couples, and corporate delegates, the hotel needed a professional-grade network capable of reliably serving 126 rooms, multiple public areas, a restaurant, fitness centre, and a conference hall — all without burdening the on-site team with network management. Guest expectations at a seaside independent are no different from those at a branded airport hotel: reliable, high-speed WiFi is a baseline requirement, whether someone is working remotely from a balcony overlooking the pier or presenting to 150 delegates in the conference hall.

For Aimbridge EMEA, the question was not simply whether each property could be connected, but whether a single connectivity partner could deliver the right solution for both — adapting to different building types, guest profiles, brand standards, and operational demands while maintaining one consistent level of service.
THE TAILORED SOLUTION //
One Partner, Two Bespoke Deployments
Wifirst designed and deployed a fully managed connectivity solution for each property — tailored to its specific environment, but underpinned by the same operational model: expert network design, professional-grade hardware, 24/7 proactive monitoring, and ongoing managed support.
WiFi 6 & Ruckus Technology for High-Density Environments
At TRIBE Manchester Airport, Wifirst deployed a comprehensive WiFi 6 solution using premium Ruckus access points — delivering increased bandwidth, reduced latency, and improved energy efficiency. Access points were strategically positioned across all 412 guest rooms, public areas, and the TRIBE Table restaurant to guarantee the 100% coverage required by Accor. The intelligent Ruckus network also supports the hotel's automated energy management systems, directly contributing to its sustainability goals.

Professional-Grade Managed WiFi for a Mixed-Use Independent
At The View Hotel Eastbourne, Wifirst deployed a fully managed WiFi solution delivering seamless coverage throughout all 126 guest rooms, public areas, the Artisan Restaurant, fitness centre, rooftop terrace, and all seven meeting and event spaces. The network is designed to handle the varying demands of a mixed-use property — from leisure guests browsing on a single device to high-density conference usage with dozens of simultaneous connections.
Converged Infrastructure & Smart Integration
Across both properties, Wifirst's network acts as the single digital backbone — supporting not only guest internet access but also staff operations, POS systems, and IoT integration. At TRIBE Manchester, this extends to Voice over WiFi and smart building controls. At The View Hotel, it means the conference hall, restaurant, and back-of-house operations all run on a single, prioritised, managed infrastructure rather than a patchwork of separate systems.

Collaborative Deployment
Both installations were conducted in close collaboration with the on-site teams and Aimbridge EMEA stakeholders. At TRIBE Manchester, this meant aligning with construction timelines and Accor's design specifications for a new-build. At The View Hotel, it meant working within a live, operational environment to minimise disruption to guests and staff.
SETTING A NEW STANDARD // Consistent Guest Experience, Operational Confidence
The impact across both properties has been immediate. At TRIBE Manchester Airport, tech-savvy travellers enjoy uninterrupted, high-speed connectivity that supports remote work, HD streaming, and smart-room controls — while the energy-efficient Ruckus infrastructure aligns with the hotel's sustainability positioning. At The View Hotel Eastbourne, guests across every room type — from economy doubles to sea-view suites with private balconies — now enjoy reliable, complimentary high-speed WiFi, and the conference and events business is supported by a network that performs under pressure.
What matters most to Aimbridge EMEA is the consistency of the outcome. Two fundamentally different hotels — different brands, different buildings, different guest profiles, different locations — now deliver the same standard of seamless, invisible connectivity. The on-site teams at both properties are freed from network management and troubleshooting, confident that Wifirst is monitoring and optimising performance continuously. And as Aimbridge EMEA's UK portfolio evolves, the partnership provides a proven, scalable model: one connectivity partner that can adapt to any property type, meet any brand standard, and deliver the same reliable result every time.
