Wifirst has announced the launch of Unicare by Wifirst, its dedicated connectivity solution for health and social care providers.
As the digital transformation of the medical sector accelerates, network infrastructures are becoming central to how these facilities operate. With Unicare, Wifirst is putting its expertise at the service of care, offering a managed infrastructure designed to meet the operational, regulatory, and human demands of the healthcare sector.
The essential technological foundation to digitalise care
Designed to address the specific needs of healthcare environments, Unicare by Wifirst caters to a wide range of providers: hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, social care centres, specialist care facilities, and even veterinary practices. The objective is to support these organisations in modernising their digital infrastructures and securing their connected services.
The Unicare by Wifirst solution has been built to seamlessly and securely connect the entire healthcare ecosystem: care staff, administrative teams, biomedical equipment, and patients. Specifically, it enables:
- Fast and secure access to Electronic Patient Records (EPRs) and medical applications.
- Reliable connectivity for telemedicine tools and critical applications.
- The secure integration of connected medical devices (Healthcare IoT).
- Internet access for patients and residents, promoting wellbeing and maintaining vital social links.
In medical settings, network continuity is essential. Unicare by Wifirst therefore incorporates advanced security and resilience mechanisms: traffic segregation, the prioritisation of critical bandwidth, and a redundant architecture that guarantees high availability.
A strategic vision for connectivity
Through our proprietary Wifirst Center platform, IT departments can monitor their entire infrastructure and services from a single interface. This approach simplifies network management and streamlines the rollout of deployments, particularly for multi-site groups.

"The network is no longer a mere convenience: it is the nervous system of healthcare settings. With Unicare by Wifirst, our true aim is to put technology ('Uni' for Unified Network) at the service of frontline care ('Care')," explains Camille Le Corvaisier, Head of Healthcare at Wifirst.
