To guarantee a digital experience that perfectly aligns with its prestige, the hotel called upon Wifirst to modernise and manage its connectivity and in-room television services. This major project allowed Wifirst to demonstrate our capacity to adapt to the most specific requests, designing a bespoke, premium managed network and TV portal solution that meets the exacting standards of a luxury palace.

The Challenge: Two Identities, Zero Downtime, and Absolute Demands
In today’s hyper-connected world, historic heritage must seamlessly blend with state-of-the-art technology. Enhancing the digital experience in a property of Taj London’s standing involves overcoming several major technical and operational hurdles:
- Two hotels, two distinct worlds: The site brings together two hotels with complementary positioning, Taj and St. James’ Court. Rather than duplicating a single solution, we designed two distinct TV portals, each carefully tailored to reflect the unique brand identity and standards of each hotel.
- An invisible deployment for guests: The digital overhaul had to be executed across a fleet of 300 televisions, retaining the existing screens while ensuring the hotel never closed its doors. Absolute continuity of service for guests was a non-negotiable priority.
- Extreme expectations for design: The hotel's management had a highly specific vision for the digital experience. They required an exclusive, unique design that delivered personalised in-room entertainment without disrupting the hotel's timeless elegance.
- Flawless connectivity: The expansive Victorian architecture demanded a reliable, high-speed network capable of handling multiple devices per guest, uninterrupted streaming, and modern IoT integrations.
The Solution: The Synergy of Wifirst Project Management and Airwave Design
Faced with this need for extreme personalisation and robust performance, Wifirst activated its ecosystem of partners and deployed a fully managed, tailor-made infrastructure incorporating Fibre WAN, IPTV, Chromecast, and unified WiFi.

A Dedicated Fibre Backbone & Managed WiFi: We equipped the hotel with a powerful RO2 Fibre connection, guaranteeing diverse routes for absolute redundancy. Wifirst’s fully managed WiFi service delivers seamless, high-performance connectivity throughout the guest rooms and public areas, easily supporting heavy guest usage alongside operational IoT systems, such as smart door locking.
- The Wifirst & Airwave Alliance: For the bespoke IPTV portals, we called upon the expertise of Airwave, the expert design studio of the Uniguest platform. By centralising all communications and joint meetings, Wifirst remained the single point of contact, ensuring a fluid workflow and rigorous follow-up. This organisation allowed Airwave to focus entirely on their core expertise: creating an exclusive graphical interface based on the exact expectations of the Taj and St. James' Court.

- Record Delivery: Thanks to this synergy, the complete realisation of both bespoke portals was achieved in a record time of just two weeks. Combined with Wifirst's secure Chromecast solutions, guests can now cast their own content to their screens, enjoying a true "home-away-from-home" digital experience
