La Seine Musicale: tailor-made connectivity for a high-density environment
La Seine Musicale, located on the Ile Seguin in Boulogne-Billancourt, is an emblematic artistic and cultural complex. Designed by architects Shigeru Ban and Jean de Gastines, this remarkable building houses several distinct spaces. At the heart of the site are the 1,150-seat auditorium, dedicated to classical music concerts, and the Grande Seine, a modular hall that can accommodate up to 6,800 people for concerts, shows or corporate events.
In 2025, the IT department launched a call for tenders to modernize its network infrastructure. The aim: to renew the WAN, LAN, WiFi and firewalls to ensure high-performance, secure connectivity for staff, artists and the public. Wifirst won the project, and now operates the entire Seine Musicale network.

// THE PERFORMANCE CHALLENGE
With a rich program of classical concerts, public shows and corporate events, La Seine Musicale regularly welcomes several thousand visitors. Such an environment demands a network capable of supporting a very high density of connections, without slowing down or interrupting service.
An infrastructure designed for performance
To meet the high-density requirements of the venue, Wifirst deployed a state-of-the-art infrastructure incorporating the best technologies on the market.

- Advanced WAN redundancy : The use of two FTTO 10 Gbps WAN links with differentiated paths protects the site against major outages. If one link is interrupted, the other automatically takes over, ensuring essential continuity of service during events.
- Latest-generation firewalls from Fortinet : Fortinet's firewalls, configured for high availability, create resilient protection against threats. Fortinet's unified security approach enables robust defense and simplified network management.
- Latest-generation Wi-Fi 7 infrastructure : Aruba's choice of latest-generation Wi-Fi 7 equipment guarantees ultra-fast, stable connectivity for the public, even during peak periods. The deployment of this technology was the result of close collaboration between Wifirst's radio engineers and Aruba's experts, for optimum design and extremely precise coverage.
Every detail of the radio design was thought through to deliver a seamless network experience for the audience, technical teams and artists alike.
Excellence in every detail
Beyond technical performance, Wifirst's deployment was distinguished by tailor-made integration. The WiFi terminals installed in the various areas of La Seine Musicale were carefully adapted to the environment: some were even customized and painted to blend in perfectly with the architecture and preserve the aesthetics of the venue.

This level of attention illustrates Wifirst's ability to reconcile high technological standards with respect for the prestigious setting in which it operates. It's a way of demonstrating that connectivity can be invisible, but still powerful.
// A UNIQUE CO-CONSTRUCTION MODEL
Modernizing such a complex site required flawless organization. Wifirst set up an unprecedented co-administration model with La Seine Musicale's IT teams.
A day-to-day operational partnership
Over and above the technological deployment, Wifirst designed a unique co-administration management organization with the Seine Musicale's IT teams. While the latter manage day-to-day operations and specific event requirements, Wifirst takes charge of the entire infrastructure, from 24/7 supervision to proactive maintenance via Wifirst center: the web and mobile platform for real-time supervision of Wifirst services.

Enhanced support for major events
During major events, Wifirst also sets up an on-site on-call service. Its technicians can intervene in real time to adjust coverage, manage network patching or connect temporary infrastructures.

This complementarity between the local knowledge of La Seine Musicale's teams and Wifirst's technical expertise enables us to offer a consistently high-performance network, capable of adapting to the unique requirements of such a prestigious venue.
