Connected Infrastructure for London's First Ethical Hotel
The Wesley Euston is a four-star independent hotel and conference venue located at 81–103 Euston Street, just steps from Euston Station and within easy reach of King's Cross, St Pancras, and the West End. Housed within a distinctive redbrick Art Deco building, the hotel offers 100 guest rooms, The Wesley Bar & Kitchen, a 24-hour fitness centre, and over 20 flexible meeting and event spaces — including the 120-capacity Euston Suite — making it one of central London's most established conference venues. Part of The Wesley Hotels group, which also operates The Wesley Camden Town, the hotel is widely recognised as one of the UK's first ethical hotels, holding ECOsmart Platinum, Green Tourism Gold, and Green Key accreditations alongside recognition as a Camden Council Carbon Champion and Living Wage Employer. With sustainability woven into every aspect of its operations, The Wesley needed connectivity infrastructure that could match the ambition and reliability its guests, delegates, and team depend on.
// THE BUSINESS CHALLENGE
Reliable, High-Performance Connectivity Across a Demanding Environment
The Wesley Euston serves two distinct but equally demanding audiences: hotel guests expecting seamless in-room connectivity and entertainment, and conference delegates who require robust, high-bandwidth access across multiple meeting rooms — often simultaneously. On any given day, the hotel may be hosting a 120-person conference in the Euston Suite, a series of smaller breakout sessions across its meeting rooms, and a full house of overnight guests streaming, browsing, and working from their rooms.

This creates a significant connectivity challenge. The network needs to support high-density usage across guest rooms, public areas, meeting spaces, the bar and restaurant, and back-of-house operations — all without interruption. The hotel also needed to deliver a modern in-room entertainment experience, including IPTV and Chromecast casting, which places heavy demands on both bandwidth and network architecture. As a venue that prides itself on operational excellence and sustainability, unreliable or patchwork connectivity was not an option.
// A TAILORED CONNECTIVITY SOLUTION
Fully Managed WiFi, Fibre, IPTV & Chromecast
Wifirst designed and deployed a fully managed connectivity solution covering every layer of The Wesley Euston's digital infrastructure — from the fibre backbone through to the guest-facing entertainment experience.

Fibre Backbone
A dedicated fibre connection provides the high-bandwidth foundation the hotel requires, ensuring the network can comfortably handle the simultaneous demands of guest rooms, conference facilities, entertainment systems, and operational applications.
Managed WiFi
Professional-grade access points were deployed throughout the property to deliver seamless, high-density WiFi coverage across all 100 guest rooms, public areas, the bar and restaurant, the fitness centre, and 20+ meeting and event spaces. The network is engineered to handle peak conference loads — ensuring that when the Euston Suite is at capacity, every delegate maintains a fast, stable connection.
Converged Network Architecture
Rather than running separate networks for different services, Wifirst implemented a converged infrastructure that carries guest internet, IPTV, Chromecast casting, staff operations, and POS systems over a single managed network — with traffic segmented and prioritised to ensure that no single service impacts another.
In-Room Entertainment: IPTV & Chromecast
Wifirst's network provides the backbone for a modern in-room entertainment experience. IPTV delivers live television channels over the IP network — eliminating the need for traditional set-top boxes — while integrated Chromecast allows guests to cast content directly from their own devices to their in-room screen. The result is a seamless, "home-from-home" entertainment experience that matches the expectations of today's connected traveller.
24/7 Proactive Monitoring & Support
Wifirst manages and monitors the entire network around the clock, detecting and resolving issues remotely before they impact guests, delegates, or hotel operations — freeing The Wesley's team to focus on delivering the exceptional, sustainability-led hospitality they're known for.
// POWERING A SUSTAINABLE, CONNECTED HOTEL
Connectivity That Works as Hard as the Hotel Does
With Wifirst managing its connectivity end to end, The Wesley Euston now operates on a unified, enterprise-grade digital infrastructure that supports every aspect of its operations - from a packed conference programme and in-room guest entertainment to the day-to-day systems that keep the hotel running smoothly.
For a hotel that has built its reputation on doing things differently - prioritising sustainability, ethical sourcing, and genuine care for guests and staff — reliable, invisible connectivity is not a luxury but a necessity. By partnering with Wifirst, The Wesley Euston ensures that its digital infrastructure is as dependable and considered as every other element of the guest experience, whether a visitor is casting their favourite series from their room, presenting to 120 delegates in the Euston Suite, or simply checking in over a coffee at The Wesley Bar & Kitchen.
