Can you reuse existing cables in my hotel?
In most cases, to guarantee optimum quality of service, our integration teams carry out a complete redeployment and certify all the cabling required for the WiFi system to function properly. Of course, in a new build or renovation scenario, the case would be different.
What equipment does Wifirst use?
Wifirst is constantly evaluating solutions from different manufacturers of WiFi terminals, hotspots, and switches. Our engineers have very close relationships with prestigious suppliers such as Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco Meraki and Huawei. This enables us to select the most appropriate equipment to equip your hotel and offer the best user experience for your guests and staff.
How do you assess my hotel's specific WiFi requirements?
Every hotel has its own constraints: architecture, number of floors, building materials, areas with high customer density (reception, restaurant, meeting rooms...). That's why Wifirst performs a full on-site technical audit before each project. This audit enables us to design a tailor-made network that takes into account specific uses: streaming, videoconferencing, PMS, business tools, connected objects, etc.
How do you ensure the security and reliability of your WiFi network?
Network security is essential in the hotel industry. Wifirst deploys segmented networks (customers, staff, business systems) and a 24/7 supervision system. Our infrastructure is protected by professional firewalls, strict access control and a policy of regular updates. You also benefit from a redundant, monitored network to guarantee maximum availability.
How do you ensure a stable connection despite a large number of users?
Our solutions are designed to withstand very high densities of simultaneous connections without degrading quality. We use professional WiFi terminals (Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco Meraki...), capable of handling large density efficiently. Bandwidth is distributed intelligently thanks to traffic prioritisation mechanisms, and a dedicated fibre network is recommended for guaranteed throughput.
My hotel is eligible for FTTH fibre optics. Can I connect the Wifirst network to it?
Technically, it's possible. You'll need to subscribe to FTTH for business customers, as FTTH for private customers does not allow a WiFi network open to the public. However, we recommend that you order a professional fibre line cable with guaranteed, scalable bandwidth, better suited to the increase in Internet usage in hotels.
Can I use my hotel's WiFi network for my business needs (reservation tools, video surveillance, etc.)?
Yes, the Wifirst system enables you to manage several networks simultaneously on the same physical infrastructure: guest WiFi, business WiFi, etc. Our technical and sales teams will be happy to help you.
Can your WiFi solution for hotels work with my PMS?
Yes, Wifirst is already interconnected with a large number of PMS (Oracle, Protel, etc.). Just let our sales team know which PMS you're using.
